Methods are recommended for tentative approval by ICUMSA in the first instance. Upon meeting all of the Commission’s requirements, methods are accorded official status. Methods which are demonstrably useful and have found an established application, or which do not lend themselves to collaborative testing are given an Accepted status”
An ICUMSA rating is an international unit for expressing the purity of the sugar in solution, and is directly related to the colour of the sugar. Procedure for closing business with export in General
1 – Buyer Sends ICPO with Bank Data
2 – Seller issues FCO with data (Seller and Buyer), Both sign up within 48 Hours
3 – Buyer issues the RWA to the seller within 3 (three) days
4 – After the RWA Checking seller issues the Purchase Agreement, which must be signed within 48 Hours
5 – Buyer issues Financial Instrument (MT103 / SBLC or BG) in 5 (Five) Days
6 – Within 10 (Ten) days the seller issues the POP (product certificate, quantity and quality on behalf of Seller) and Performance Bond (PB) 2%
7 – 30-45 Days after ship Shipped at Port of shipment, the seller issues the BL and all relevant documents described in contract
8 – The Financial Instrument Becomes Immediately Operational
9 – Ship leaves Port according to a contract signed by both parties
10 Below is additional information about the following:
1. PB will only be issued after the shipment of the bank guarantee.
2. Contracts that do not have a bank guarantee will not receive PB.
3. SPOT or contracts of less than 1 year will not receive PB.
4. NCNDA for commissions of the partners will only be made when the buyer signs the contract.
5. All ICPOS should from now on should be addressed to xxxxxxxxxx ICPOS that don’t come addressed this way will not be accepted.
